diet for dummies

What is up less calories per day, without going into starvation mode? 800 calories?
In a book, 'Diet for Dummies ", he says he does not go below 800 calories, or to enter starvation mode and lower your metabolism. But do not specify the minimum contribution of calories for men, women, of different heights and different weights. Would not the minimum is different for at least some of these groups? I just finished the last two weeks of my diet and am ready to go. Even if I stick to 800 calories a day, I can be sure that I eat foods that have exactly 800 calories. What if I have a happy meal and give me 7-tile less than usual and eat only 770 calories a day? Would it slow down my metabolism for the rest of my diet?
700 is really the minimum, and that is really depends on your weight, age, sex, etc. realatively metabolic rate is similar for people of similar weight.
